# Introducing John VanDerKolk

John VanDerKolk is a District Sales Manager at ChromaScape with a strong background in the
paper industry. He plays a vital role in managing key accounts, overseeing sales activities, providing technical support and driving new business development in the Great Lakes region.
With extensive engineering, sales and marketing experience, John is a proven and innovative leader known for driving continuous improvement. Throughout his career, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility and excelled in change management. As an effective mentor, John has
contributed to organizational growth and critical leader development. He is a strategic thinker with a knack for making informed decisions that consistently exceed expectations.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Paper & Process and a MBA from Western
Michigan University.
John lives in Appleton, Wisconsin with his wife and three sons. He has a wide range of interests and hobbies. He is very active in the Boy Scouts where he participates as a member of Troop 2 and holds a position as an Order of the Arrow member. Beyond scouting, he channels his passion for technology and education by coaching his son's VEXIQ robotics team, nurturing young minds and fostering innovation. Additionally, he supports his sons' soccer teams, utilizing his skills in
photography and media to capture their memorable moments on the field. Despite his busy schedule, he still finds time to indulge in his love of golf, managing to squeeze in a few rounds.
